We would like to take this opportunity to present a project created using PEP725 data. Nandini Saxena describes her work as follows:

‘The Phenological Mismatch Observatory is an open-access platform that synthesises iNaturalist and eBird citizen science data to produce phenological mismatch scores for species pairs that depend on each other ecologically. The PEP725 Germany data was used to validate oak leaf unfolding (BBCH 11) with a mean absolute error (MAE) of 6.7 days and cherry full bloom (BBCH 65) with an MAE of 2.5 days against iNaturalist Weibull estimates.’
